If you are flying to San Rafael airport (AFA) from Buenos Aires and require transport to Las Lenas and have booked hotel or apartment accommodation with us we can organize an individual shared transfer or a private transfer for you or your group. If arriving at a weird time, or if you are only in Las Lenas for a few days or staying in Los Molles, another opton is to rent a car with AVIS. You can email them ahead of time and they will come meet you right at the bus station! This is especially convenient if you arrive on the Andesmar night bus from Bariloche that arrives in San Rafael at 6:00 AM as if you rent a car you do not have to wait until 9:45 AM for the Iselin bus. We highly recommend AVIS in San Rafael as have had very positive experiences with them and they can meet you at the bus station or your accommodation and you can make reservations by email instead of having to phone. If you want to get to Las Lenas before or after the only daily bus leaves at 9:45 AM this is very handy. You can pay AVIS with an international credit card. There are also AVIS, and other rental car agencies in Mendoza and Bariloche but will charge you a fee for the drop off in another city than originally rented. You can also book a car with all of these agencies at www.travelocity.com.
San Rafael Bus Station Hotel
If you are arriving in San Rafael very late/or early in the morning from Mendoza, Buenos Aires, Bariloche or Neu quenand do not want to deal with taking a taxi or walking to some of the hotels or hostels in San Rafael we recommend the very basic Hotel Atuel, right at the bus station. With private rooms with private bathrooms and a common kitchen/sitting area for the hotel and a reception. There are rooms with 1 double bed (for a single or couple), 2 single beds, 3 single beds, and 2 bunk beds (4 beds). Prices range from $40 Argentine Pesos to $60 Argentine Pesos Per Room per night
